Today, we decided to go see a doctor in Binondo who practices Chinese medicine. We decided this because we tried Western medicine.  We had numerous ultrasounds, blood tests, urine tests and we’ve taken a fortune’s worth of medicines, and still, we did not feel any better.  What was worse was that we had no idea what was wrong; Western medicine just couldn’t give us an answer.

We just need to know what’s wrong.  If it cannot be remedied by medication, we can accept that.  If surgery is necessary, we surrender that up to the Lord.  We just need to know.

The doctor said my husband’s acidity was  not ulcer but gall stones. The gall stones did not show up on the ultrasound. After taking the medicine (we were supposed to take the medicine after meals), my husband had immediate relief.

The Chinese doctor also said that his heart condition is not as bad as we thought. It was manageable by diet, exercise and maintenance drugs. He also said that the rise in his blood sugar and blood pressure was due to the malfunction in his digestion caused by the gall stone which was blocking the flow of bile.

As for me, he said that I should just refrain from certain food, refrain from carrying heavy loads and expect to bleed when I take the medicine.  He also said I have a liver infection that can be remedied by refraining from eating sweet food and taking medicine.

He gave us a list of food we have to avoid and herbal medications.  When we finish taking the medication, we are supposed to go back for follow-up.

Ten years ago, I had a tingling sensation in my right arm and my fingers were always tired even  after just waking up. I went to that same doctor and he said that I had a pinched nerve in my 3rd vertebrae. He manipulated my spine and immediately the tingling sensation and ngalay was relieved. Two days later, the tingling sensation in my index finger went away totally. One week later, the tingling sensation in my thumb went away for good. I don’t suffer from the shoulder pain anymore. My lower back pain was also relieved.

Thank goodness for Chinese medicine.  Thank God we were led to this Chinese doctor. All healing will come from God, but sometimes, He uses human instruments.
