| People refuse to believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is now in heaven preparing a place for us to live | BUT | They are willing to believe that a morbidly obese man can slave on the whole year making them presents in a factory in the North Pole. |
| People refuse to believe that God the Son came in the flesh to be born as a child | BUT | They easily believe that a morbidly obese man in a red suit can fly around in a sleigh pulled by reindeer |
| People refuse to believe that Jesus Christ is omniscient God | BUT | They believe that a morbidly obese man knows what every child wants for Christmas |
| People refuse to believe that Jesus Christ will be the judge of the living and the dead | BUT | They believe that a morbidly obese man knows who has been naughty and who has been nice. |
| People refuse to believe that Jesus Christ knows what is in our hearts and in our thoughts and we are naked before Him with whom we have to do | BUT | They believe that a morbidly obese man sees them when they’ve been bad or good so they try to be good, for goodness’ sake. |

| People refuse to believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth even when he promised that He will come again and receive us unto Himself | BUT | They watch out, they do not pout, they do not cry because a morbidly obese man is coming to town. |
I don’t know about you, but really, believing that Jesus Christ is Eternal God is a lot easier than believing in a fictional character made up by a poet in the 1800s. We tell our children about a morbidly obese man in a red suit and sing songs about him but we never tell our children about Jesus Christ. We trust a morbidly obese fictional character to bring us happiness once every year, when Jesus Christ has atoned for our sin by shedding His blood once for all as an eternal sacrifice. The toys and presents that the morbidly obese man can bring will last for days but Jesus Christ’s gift is eternal life. The consequences of refusing to believe in a morbidly obese man who comes only once every year means you won’t get presents, but the consequences of not believing in Jesus Christ spells eternal separation from God. He that believeth not is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. He that believes Jesus Christ believes in the God who has sent Him. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
