If you are a follower of this blog or if you have chanced upon a link to this blog on Facebook and you’ve checked it out, you will notice that the blog page has been made-over.
This came in response to the last few blogs I had published that caused quite a stir among my young students. I speak about the series on the Good Man and the Good Woman and the other topics on love, courtship and marriage the Bible way.
A former student of mine provided this blog. Â She did so because she left Quezon City for Panglao, Bohol and she said she didn’t want to miss out on my lectures. Â She gifted me with this opportunity on the internet to publish meditations, thoughts and lessons.
I began publishing articles in February 2011. Â It’s been more than a year and I have published around 150 blogs. Â Some were enthusiastically received (others were met with verbally violent objections).
I love the way the blog appears now. Â I told my former student that the blog has a professional look and feel to it. Among the features I love on this new page is that there are pop-up features such as Must Read and Related Posts. These direct the reader’s attention to other blog articles that are relevant to the article the reader is currently browsing.
I am functionally literate in all things computer. Â I would not have been able to create a blog like this or link it with my Facebook account or make it look as handsomely polished as this. Â Thank you for your work and research, Mylene Rabago.
I admitted to her that I feel doubly pressured in mind and in heart to fill out these beautiful pages with thoughts and ideas that will necessarily have to match the beauty of the pages (YIKES!). Â I begin by giving credit to whom credit is due. Â I could not have re-made the blog to look and feel this good. Â Thanks, Mylene.
And to my readers, if you were blessed, touched, annoyed or irked by any of the blog posts, please feel free to comment. Â I cannot tell you how your comments spur me on to write more. Â If you look at the blog posts closely, they are usually the product of conversations and comments made to me by people with whom I have dealt. Your questions are also welcome. Â I think there are three blogs that are direct answers to questions asked of me by readers and friends. So, thank you to the readers and those who took time to ask me questions.
The most profound thanks though, goes to the Lord whose hand worked in all these things. A great Christian writer, A.W. Tozer, once said that one of the biggest problems of modern Christianity is that we have no great thoughts of God. Â It is not surprising for finite men like us to have only very small thoughts about an infinite God whom we cannot fully grasp with our minds.
This is the purpose of this blog, I suppose, to share with readers my thoughts of God as I see his presence in the everyday life. I am happy to share my thoughts no matter how poor and crude they are. Â I wish myself wiser and more profoundly gifted with words and thoughts just so I can help the reader go deeper still into the knowledge of God.
Fortunately, our God uses feeble and foolish things in this world to make known His grace so that the excellency of the power may be attributed to God and not to men. If you keep reading, then I will keep writing and I hope we all enjoy this journey into ideas, thoughts and emotions. I also hope that our ideas, thoughts and emotions lead us deeper into God.
My pleasure ma’am to help you with the make-over of your site 🙂 And I am so glad that you like the new look and feel of it. I hope this will inspire you to write more.
God bless!
black and white is classic but too plain for me. Hope that there were more colors, links, pictures. Kapag puro letters sometimes kasi if you don’t know yet the publisher, you will think twice to read. It helps din in my opinion and based on my taste, web pages na colorful yet professional approach. Mas enticing basahin maraming post na pictures din.
